Prescot Initiates Alan Campbell

Brother Alan Campbell was Initiated into Prescot Lodge recently by a Past Master of the Lodge John Whalley who took the Masters chair with only a few hours notice. John was ably assisted by the officers of the Lodge, several of whom had been asked to stand in at short notice due to ilness amongst the Brethren. Particular thanks went to Norman Lay of Lodge Of Loyalty 86 who stood in at the last minute as Senior Deacon despite not being a member of the Lodge.

Brother Alan was a first class candidate and was led round the Lodge by Brother Leo Kap the Senior Deacon standing in for the Junior Deacon as the latter was unable to attend due to work commitments.

In spite of these difficulties the ceremony went without a hitch and Brother Alan was initiated in an excellent manner.

After the ceremony at the festive board Alan was keen to praise the Lodge and to thank them for accepting him into Freemasonry, concluding that he was looking forward to the coming years with anticipation.
