Prescot Lodge installs Bro. Adrian Cowley
Adrian Cowley was installed into the chair in an excellent manner by Installing Master George Flinn. The Lodge was honoured by the presence of Frank Umbers representing the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master as well as by a large number of visiting Brethren including a contingent from Cheshire and from Yorkshire West Riding which included Assistant Provincial Grand Master Tony Llewellen.
The ceremony was enhanced by the presentation of the Working tools of an Installed Master given by Norman Corke, this is a rarely seen part of the Installation ceremony and was well received by the Brethren, as was the presentation of the tools of the three degrees by Leo Kap, Bob, Bridge and Daren Gandy.
After the ceremony Frank brought the congratulations of the Provincial Grand Master Tony Harrison to the new Master Adrian, as well as to the installing Master George Flinn and the Director of Ceremonies John Whalley, Frank told the Brethren that had Tony been present he would have been delighted and impressed with the quality of the ceremony.
During the Festive board Frank was keen to add his own congratulations to those of the Provincial Grand Master, he spoke at length about the Royal Arch, urging those Brethren who were not members to seriously consider joining in order to complete their Masonic journey.
Responding to the toast to his healt given by acting Immediate Past Master Paul Gerrard Adrian thanked the Lodge for the honour bestowed on him and was keen to praise the Brethren who had taken part in the ceremony. Adrian said it was the most amazing experience he had had since his Initiation into Masonry several years ago.
